The New Delhi Municipal Council has sent notification to Khan Market property proprietors to lead an auxiliary security contemplate and present an authentication to the city body, noted Jagmohan Garg Delhi News.
The move comes after two episodes of rooftop fall in Connaught Place’s C and L obstructs on February 2 and 11 separately, bringing up issues on security of these focal Delhi markets.
Jagmohan Garg said, the notices have been issued under Section 258 (1) of the NDMC Act-1994. All the shop owners and residents will have to provide these safety certificates by March 6. It will be a self declaration by the owners, attested by a structural engineer that a particular shop or flat space doesn’t deviate from the sanctioned building plan and items on rooftop are there with necessary permission.
On February 14, NDMC had additionally requested that Connaught Place brokers submit comparable records. The CP merchants, in any case, have presented an update requesting additional time.
