Delhi bands gear up for a musical battle: Jagmohan Garg


Get set for a melodic spectacle as Delhi University’s Kalindi school in a joint effort with Delhi tourism is sorting out ‘Samyukt 2017-Battle of Bands’. Melodic groups from Delhi and NCR schools including Hindu College, Sri Venkateswara College, Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, will grandstand their ability in the opposition, says Jagmohan Garg.

The groups are upbeat to have the open door. Mohit Singh, tabla player of Saptak, a band of Hindu College, says, “We are anticipating play to a live gathering of people here. We began our band only a year prior and we are certain to awe all. We will play out a combination of Sufiana and Bollywood traditional.”

Jagmohan Garg Delhi’s colleges are known for their musical traditions at fests and annual functions. We’re taking it up a notch with this musical battle in the city in association of Kalindi College, University of Delhi. They invited 35 entries from various colleges and Universities from Delhi and nearby areas and short listed around 20, who will perform at the Garden of Five Senses,” says Sudhir Sobti, chief manager, publicity, Delhi Tourism.
